Computer Arts Issue 204

There’s a nice little feature/interview with me in this month’s issue of Computer Arts Magazine. The feature is mainly about Quoteskine and how it gave me the confidence to go freelance, and to call myself an “illustrator”.

I know I’m probably biased, but all round it’s the best issue of the mag I’ve read in a while. I think that’s because it’s about something I really believe, that doing things you love will always lead to good things.

It’s full of examples of designers, illustrators, and artists who have turned a personal project into something more. So it’s a good reminder to keep going with a project when you’re feeling like it’s heading nowhere. There’s also some great ideas about where to take your project next if you’re feeling a bit stuck.

It’ll be in the shops this week, so go and grab yourself a copy.

Or just stand in the magazine shop reading it until they kick you out.

PS: The main photo is obviously horrendous. But in my defence it was freezing and I was crouching and looking directly into the wind.

PPS: I didn’t design the cover, I just posted that photo so you know what to look out for. But hopefully I’ll get to design a cover for them in the future sometime.
